What we cover
evtol.lk tracks four things: where eVTOL aircraft stand in formal certification processes (FAA, CAAC, EASA and others); what the manufacturers and their partners are doing commercially; candidate routes and vertiport sites as regulators and operators discuss them; and — because the domain is Sri Lankan — where this industry intersects with Sri Lanka and the wider South Asian region specifically, including Colombo's own regulatory sandbox agreement with EHang.
Sourcing policy
Every report on this site is a synthesis of named, linked primary and secondary sources — regulator statements, company press releases, and reporting from aviation trade press such as AIN/FutureFlight, Aviation Week, FlightGlobal, Aerospace Testing International and others. We do not publish a figure, date or quotation that isn't attributed to a specific outlet, and every article ends with a "Sources" list naming exactly where its facts came from. Where a source leaves a number undisclosed — an investment round's exact size, for instance — we say so rather than estimate it. The route planner and route estimates elsewhere on this site are clearly labelled as illustrative tools, not reported facts, and our directory and stat counts reflect what we have actually profiled rather than invented engagement figures.
What this site is not
evtol.lk is independently written and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, EHang, Archer Aviation, Joby Aviation, Vertical Aerospace, Korean Air, Hyundai, Supernal, Korea Aerospace Industries, Volant Aerotech or any other company or regulator named in our reporting. Quotations attributed to named individuals are drawn from the cited outlets, not from direct interviews conducted by this desk unless stated otherwise. "Join / Sign in" is not yet a live account system — it routes here, to this contact section.
