Vertiport opportunities
Three locations have been named in reported sandbox discussions so far. No vertiport has broken ground — this page tracks what's actually been proposed, and gives landowners near these sites a way to register interest.
Port City, Colombo
Named as EHang's proposed operations hub for the CAASL sandbox — the base for scenic Sigiriya flights, the Katunayake shuttle, and early cargo trials. The most central and most likely first site.
Katunayake (Bandaranaike Int'l Airport)
The other end of the reported airport-to-city shuttle route. Existing airport infrastructure and airspace coordination make it a natural second site once Port City is operating.
Sigiriya / Pidurangala
The destination end of the scenic tourism route under discussion. Any facility here would likely be a minimal landing pad serving day-trip scenic flights rather than a full passenger terminal.
